As part of the NSW AFL ongoing commitment to improve the standards of Sydney AFL and its member clubs a task force has been formed to review the options available for Pennant Hills Demons to raise the standard of our playing and other facilities from the lower end among Premier Division Clubs.
Our current score across the criteria which places us below the minimum standard could see us losing the right to host home games each season.
As part of the NSW AFL ongoing commitment to improve the standards
of Sydney AFL and its member clubs a task force has been formed to
review the options available for Pennant Hills Demons to raise the
standard of our playing and other facilities from the lower end among
Premier Division Clubs.
Our current score across the criteria
which places us below the minimum standard could see us losing the
right to host home games each season.
The criteria by which each club is evaluated ranges from the dimensions
of the playing field and the quality of the lighting to facilities
available for players and spectators.
As the potential outcomes of any review will be significant in terms of
changes required or investments to be made the taskforce has members
from NSWAFL, Hornsby Council and PHAFC.
"The prospect of losing any home games threatens the financial
stability of the club, yet the amount of money required to get the Ern up to standard is well beyond our ability to finance as well, so we greatly appreciate the support of NSWAFL and Hornsby Council working through the options with us. said PHFC President Peter Campbell. We
hope that in the next month we will be in a position to announce an
agreed position that suits all parties, is jointly funded and will put
us closer to the forefront of ground facilities than our current
position." |
